Fresh strawberries and chocolate notes gently meld into the same cup, creating a medley of flavours that resemble that of a marzipan ice cream. Gentle hints of hazelnuts follow through in the finish, creating a rich and comforting drinking experience.

About This Coffee

Aquiares Estate is one of Costa Rica’s largest and most historic coffee farms, sitting high on the fertile slopes of the Turrialba Volcano. Nestled between the Aquiares and Turrialba Rivers, “Aquiares” means “land between rivers” in Costa Rica’s Huetar indigenous language. 

Entre Rios, translating as “Between Rivers”, is a delicate and versatile coffee which mixes two varietals from the same parentage to create a singular cup. These varieties are Marsellesa & Red Obatá, both originating through combinations of Timor Hybrid and Villa Sarchi.

With over a century's worth of experience in coffee production, the farm has honed its processing method for specialty coffee. Each tree in this microlot is meticulously hand picked and dried in a temperature and climate controlled greenhouse, making this natural process coffee exceptionally cleaner than usual.

We sourced this coffee from our friends at Mercanta Coffee, and it is one of the more stellar coffees we have tasted this year to date!
